Fry's Bakery's Plan to Keep Chill and Not Get One Another Sick

As a retail food establishment and essential service, we have remained open during the restrictions recommended by the BC Government due to COVID-19.

 

These are the current guidelines for our bakery, following directions from Worksafe BC:

 

• Takeout window service only, no customers enter the shop.

 

• Payment is by cash or debit. The BC Centre for Disease Control states “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be passed on through touching or handling money.” Employees who handle cash wash their hands before preparing food.

 

• The debit machine will be sanitized between customers if it is touched. Tap is preferred if possible and a staff member will guide you through prompts if you wish to leave a tip.

 

• Increased sanitary practices are in effect at all contact points throughout the day.

 

• Facial coverings must be worn by all delivery and service professionals entering the bakery. Staff are provided facial coverings to wear while serving customers and when distancing is not possible.

 

• All staff complete a daily health check and have been asked to stay home if they have any symptoms.
